Happy Friday, crafters!
On Monday, we are welcoming a new employee in my office, so we decided it would be a fun idea to give her a welcome basket of tea and other yummy goodies!
I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a mini banner for our new employee, so I quickly whipped up this mini crochet bunting pattern.
Mini Crochet Bunting
- Any worsted-weight yarn in a color (or colors!) of your choice
- Size D/3-3.25mm hook
- Tapestry Needle
Pattern – Bunting Flag:
Rnd 1: ch 8. Starting in 2nd chain space from the hook, sc across. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 2: sc2tog, work 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc2tog. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 3: sc across. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 4: sc2tog, sc in next st, sc2tog. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 5: sc across. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 6: sc3tog. Ch 1 and turn.
Rnd 7: sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Repeat for as many flags as you need for your bunting. Use a tapestry needle to feed a strand of twine or ribbon or yarn through the tops of the flags. If you like, you can also use a tapestry needle and contrasting strands of yarn to stitch letters into the flags.
I think this bunting is just adorable, especially with the bright and cheery yarn colors. Hopefully it will help to welcome our new employee to our fun and cheery office!
