When my husband and I first moved into our home, we went without internet access for about three years. I’m really not sure why, other than we weren’t fond of our choice of providers. The only internet access we had available to us was the data plan through my cellular provider. Let me tell you–that’s one expensive way to blog!
Last August, I finally decided that enough was enough, and I took the plunge and signed up with one of our local internet providers. And things have been gravy since then.
Long story short, we’ve been without internet at our house for four days. How are we supposed to binge-watch Supernatural?!
This blog post is coming to you straight from my cell phone on my lunch break. Yay?
The point of this post is to apologize for the delay in posting the corrected House Baratheon of Dragonstone designs, which I meant to do on Friday afternoon. You can find the corrected designs here.
But, while my internet was out this weekend, I got a lot of crochet time in! I’m still fighting my crojo when it comes to this GoT project, so House Lannister has been sitting in my time-out spot for a while. Perhaps I’ll work on it tonight. We’ll see. Hopefully our internet connection will be fixed!
The hubs took me yarn shopping yesterday, so I got a bunch more yarn so that I can continue working on the Mini Princess amis. Next up is Mulan, and she’s currently sitting in my purse with no arms and no hair. So glamorous!
I also started working on a fun and sciencey hat project, though I’m not sure if it will make it to the blog for a while. I’m at a point now where I need to sew a bunch of things together, and I honestly don’t know if I want to bother for now.
Because I am a glutton for punishment, I also started a fun new surprise, which I fully intend to share on the blog at a later date, but I just realized that I need to order a different kind of yarn for it, because I don’t have what I need in my stash. (Oh darn!) Here’s a hint: it’s gleefully geeky and wearable! Plus side? I just found out that I can purchase Malabrigo wool/silk blends from Wool Warehouse. I’m so excited! I just ordered a DK weight yarn to help me complete this project. Stay tuned for more details on this one!
In Blog Plan news, the plan is coming together slowly. I’m following a template from Regina over at byregina.com. I’ve learned that putting together an official business plan is hard work, but it is definitely worthwhile. I’m only a few sections in, and it’s just a draft, but I’m still making progress! It’s probably the most challenging thing I’ve had to do, but it is incredibly exciting.
Well, I’m off to work on Mulan’s arms and hair for the rest of my lunch break. I hope you all have a fantastic Monday!
