Minerva McGonagall Mini Amigurumi

McGonagall Pin

“Is it true that you shouted at Professor Umbridge?”

“Yes,” said Harry.

“You called her a liar?”

“Yes.”

“You told her He Who Must Not Be Named is back?”

“Yes.”

Professor McGonagall sat down behind her desk, frowning at Harry. Then she said, “Have a biscuit, Potter.”

-Professor McGonagall chatting with Harry-

Perhaps one of the most formidable characters in all of the Harry Potter universe, Professor McGonagall is fierce, good and strong, even (or especially?) when face-to-face with danger. Plus, she has some amazing lines…like the one above!

Those are just some of the reasons why she’s one of my favorite characters and why she’s included in this pattern set.

You can use this pattern to make your very own Professor McGonagall ami doll…but I don’t think she’ll be able to transfigure into a cat…

Finishing Steps

Use a yarn needle and the tail ends of the yarn to carefully sew the arms onto the body between rounds 11 and 12. If desired, you can stitch the openings at the tops of the arms flat before sewing the arms to the body.

Carefully sew the main hair piece to the doll’s head, then attach the bun piece to the main hair piece.

Use a strand of BROWNISH GREY yarn and a yarn needle to embroider eyebrows onto the doll.

Use a strand of BLACK THREAD and a needle to embroider eyelashes onto the doll.

Place the robes on the doll, pull the arms through the sleeve holes. Then carefully sew the robes firmly onto the doll.

If you like, you can sew the hat to the doll’s head. If you do this, you do not have to make the bun hair piece (as it will be obscured anyway when you sew the hat on). Or, if you prefer, you can leave the hat unattached so that you can rest it on top of the doll’s head and remove it at will.

Weave in all ends.
